Fluid Flow and Structural Numerical Analysis of a Cerebral Aneurysm Model

Intracranial aneurysms (IA) are dilations of the cerebral arteries and, in most cases, have no symptoms. However, it is a very serious pathology, with high mortality rate after rupture. Several studies been focused only on hemodynamics flow within IA. besides effect flow, development and rupture IA also associated combination other factors such as wall mechanical behavior. Thus, objective this work was to analyze, addition behavior, biomechanical behavior aneurysm wall. For this, CFD simulations were performed for different Reynolds numbers (1, 100, 500 1000) two rheological models (Newtonian Carreau). Subsequently, pressure values fluid exported structural order qualitatively observe deformations, strains, normal stresses shear stress generated channel simulations, hyperelastic constitutive model (5-parameter Mooney–Rivlin) used. The results show that increase number (Re), recirculation phenomenon more pronounced, which not seen Re = 1. higher Re, strain, displacement, values.
